Tromox makes city riding fun with its brand new Mino.
According to reports, the Chinese Hangzhou-based electric motorcycle startup partnered with an Italian design firm to shape the looks of its upcoming Mino e-bike.
But the hip look is not all. The power figures on this eco-friendly two-wheeler are also quite good for its class: the Mino has a top speed of 37 mph and weighs 149 lb. Power comes from the highly efficient 2.5 kW mid-mounted motor powered by a 60V battery, offered in four different sizes — 2.3 kWh, 1.9 kWh, 1.6 kWh, and 1.3 kWh.
If you think this is still not fast enough for you, inside reports claim that Tromox is in talks to develop a more powerful and larger electric motorcycle that would reach 62 mph.
From an aesthetic standpoint, the Mino resembles a cross motorcycle, complete with a conventional wishbone motorcycle frame, true oil-damped front and rear suspension, moto-level hydraulic disc brakes, and a single headlight.
And don’t be fooled by its “mini e-bike” tag; the Mino can comfortably sit an adult. On top of that, the Mino is ideal for zipping past the city traffic, or as Melody MO from Tromox said to Electrek, “It is one of those vehicles that would put a smile on your face and make daily driving fun and unique.” Not to forget how space-efficient this bike is, you can take it almost everywhere. With one of these in your garage, gone are the days of paying parking fees or worrying about parking your vehicle.
So far, Tromox has already begun selling the Mino in China through the country’s biggest online platforms, such as JD and Tmall. The company also aims for international markets like the EU and Asia and has already spent the last year securing distributors across major markets.
However, Tromox is yet to acquire an EPA and DOT certification to start selling its bikes in the USA.
The highly anticipated Tromox Mino is expected to hit the European shores in spring 2021 and, if it’s able to secure an EPA and DOT certification, it could reach the US market later the same year.

Update 06/07/22: Tromox’s website seems to be down at the moment. If you were waiting to get your hands on a Mino, I would probably suggest you start looking elsewhere — it doesn’t look good for the e-bike manufacturer.
