Before You Know It, the Lamborghini Gallardo Is Old Enough for a Restomod

Tedson Motors has restomodded the V10 supercar, and it’s lighter, faster, and manual-only.

The Lamborghini Gallardo never really got the same love as its bigger V12 siblings, but a Croatian company called Tedson Motors is here to change that. Meet the Tedson Etna, a full-blown Gallardo restomod that’s lighter, faster, and more aggressive than ever before. And if you’ve got $800,000 lying around—plus a Gallardo donor car—you can have one of the 77 units they plan to build.

At its core, the Etna is still a 5.0-liter V10 Gallardo, but Tedson has worked its magic under the hood. The naturally aspirated engine now makes over 600 hp, and thanks to new internals, it screams all the way up to a 10,000 rpm redline—higher than any factory Gallardo ever could. Even better? It ditches the clunky E-Gear automatic transmission in favor of a six-speed gated manual, because that’s the proper way to enjoy a high-revving Italian V10.

One of the biggest changes is the weight reduction. The Etna is 450 pounds lighter than a stock Gallardo, thanks to a full carbon-fiber body, carbon seats, and a titanium exhaust system. That’s serious dieting, and it should make this already sharp supercar feel even more alive.

Suspension upgrades come straight from the Gallardo Super Trofeo and GT3 race cars, giving the Etna a track-ready setup while still being road-legal. The car is also 6 cm wider than stock, with improved aerodynamics that include a vented front hood, larger side intakes, a ducktail rear spoiler, and a massive rear diffuser with center-mounted exhausts. It rides on 19-inch AL13 R-Series monoblock wheels, wrapped in Pirelli tires for maximum grip.

Visually, Tedson has kept the classic Gallardo shape intact but added just enough tweaks to make it stand out. The front bumper has a more retro design, the light fixtures are updated, and the rear gets a lip spoiler and thin LED taillights. It’s a restomod done right—modernized where it matters while still holding onto what made the Gallardo special.

Only 77 units will be built, with nine Launch Editions set to arrive first in Fall 2026, and the rest following into 2027. Each one takes about 12 months to complete, and since it’s a bespoke build, customers can choose custom paint, wheels, and interior materials to make their Etna unique.

At $800,000 before options, it’s not cheap—especially considering you still have to provide your own Gallardo. But for that price, you’re getting a lighter, faster, sharper version of Lamborghini’s first V10 supercar, complete with a high-revving naturally aspirated engine, a manual gearbox, and a raw, analog driving experience.

In a world where everything is going hybrid or electric, the Tedson Etna is a celebration of old-school Lamborghini madness. It’s loud, fast, lightweight, and built for purists. Whether or not people are ready to spend nearly a million dollars on a reborn Gallardo remains to be seen, but one thing’s for sure—it’s the most exciting take on Lamborghini’s baby bull in years.
