Land Rover Defender Racing Green Edition is the Opposite of Subtle

European tuner Carlex Design recently unveiled the Defender Racing Green Edition, and it’s absolutely bonkers inside-out.

As the name suggests, the reshaped Land Rover Defender has been painted in deep green paint inspired by the legendary British Racing Green color, which was then brushed by hand to give the body a rustic look.

The roof and the hood of the SUV appear to be painted in a black color scheme complemented by three porcelain white stripes, starting from the hood of the vehicle and ending on the curved surface area of the spare wheel cover.

The Carlex Design Defender, which started its life as a regular 110 model, now looks almost nothing like it. It features massive wheel arch extensions, custom black alloy wheels, and generous use of exposed carbon fiber all around. The lightweight material was used for the massive arch extensions, spare wheel cover, and a few bits on the hood.

Coming to the interior, every spot that is likely to come in any form of contact with the vehicle’s occupants is either wrapped in or made of high-quality cognac leather, painted wood, or carbon fiber.

All seats have been reshaped and generously wrapped in brown and green perforated leather with green inserts, beautifully complementing the exterior color scheme. The steering wheel is made of brushed materials giving it a similar look to the body of the Defender. A great little touch that could easily go unnoticed but needs appreciation is the 12 o’clock stripe on the steering wheel, reminiscent of the Defender Racing Green Edition’s motorsports heritage.

All in all, the Land Rover Defender Racing Green Edition by Carlex Design is a great package for those looking for something a little more unique than a stock Defender 110. If you can afford the $102,817 price tag, of course.
