CityQ’s e-bike aims to revolutionize urban mobility.
In recent years, we have seen a notable rise in the number of e-Bikes around the world. They have proven to be a suitable alternative for conventional bicycles, and unlike the latter, they can be used to commute longer distances around the city without much hassle.
However, due to their compact design, they don’t offer much in the space, comfort, and weather protection departments. These shortcomings have proven to be a dealbreaker for some, preventing them from switching from car to bike.
If you’re one of those people, then don’t worry; CityQ, a Norwegian micro-mobility company, brought a suitable solution. CityQ’s new e-Bike is a unique four-wheeler electric bike equipped with features similar to what’s found in entry-level cars.
While conventional and electric bicycles are a pretty good alternative to cars in urban areas, they certainly aren’t the best when raining or winter. Well, no need to worry about that while riding the CityQ e-Bike — it has a roof, windshield, side doors, and windows for all-year-round weather protection.
CityQ claims that its innovative e-Bike can travel for around 43 to 62 miles on a single charge. However, since the pedals are connected to the battery, pedaling will recharge it and extend the range. The battery can also be charged in about 5 hours by plugging it into a regular power outlet.
Moreover, CityQ’s e-bike seat configuration can be adjusted depending on your preference. For example, owners could decide to either seat one rider and cargo, one adult and two kids, or two adults. Pretty neat, right?
And, even better, it legally identifies as an e-Bike, which means that you can ride it in bike lanes and swift through traffic without facing hefty fines, and you do not need a driver’s license to ride it.
CityQ’s e-bike will be available with a price tag starting at $9,093, while deliveries are expected to begin later this year.
