The Mansory P900 is another shameless Mercedes-AMG G63 on steroids, perfectly designed for those with more money than taste.
No one can stop Mansory from tuning a luxury car and slapping it with its trademark over-the-top look. The German tuning house got to play with the Mercedes-AMG G63 again — the brand’s most iconic SUV. As expected, the final form of Mansory’s latest work here is far from subtle. However, it doesn’t really come as a surprise considering its previous G63 project from two years ago — the Gronos — also looked quite garish.
Named the P900, the Austrian-built SUV receives a flashy look with new forged carbon fiber front and rear bumpers, a revamped grille, revised daytime running lights, and a rather jam-packed forged carbon fiber hood. You’ll also find more carbon on top of the windshield, fitted with off-road-inspired LEDs reminiscent of the G-Class Squared.
The G63-based monster now sits on Mansory’s 24-inch rally-inspired wheels with custom wheel arches. Carbon fiber can also be found on the sides and rear, exhaust pipes, side vents, the spare wheel cover, diffuser, rear spoiler, and more. Contrasting those dark accents is the desert-sand exterior color, looking almost goldish in certain lighting conditions.
When it comes to being “in your face,” the cabin is just as brave as the outside. Keeping on with the desert theme, the interior is wrapped in diamond-quilted brown leather with white stitching and piping. There is also tons of carbon present here, including on the dash, steering wheel, and center console. Interestingly, Mansory repositioned the start-engine button to the ceiling — but apart from that, everything else mimics the original AMG G63.
Also, it wouldn’t be a true Mansory if a bit more power had not been squeezed out of the engine. Hence, despite retaining the turbocharged 4.0-liter V8, it now produces a whopping 900 hp and 885 lb-ft of torque — 50 hp and 147 lb-ft more than the Gronos. As a result, 0-60 mph takes just 3.3 seconds, while the top speed remains at 155 mph.
Unsurprisingly, Mansory hasn’t disclosed anything about the P900’s pricing as it usually prefers to whisper it to interested customers rather than yell it out loud. Yet, it’s safe to assume it’ll set you back more than double the G63’s $180,000 MSRP.
