Inkas gave the LX 600 full CEN 1063 Level BR6 armoring package, making it a (more reliable) competitor to the Mercedes G-Class.
If you are browsing for an SUV to move safely with your entourage during a convoy on some rugged terrain, you’ve landed in the right place. Inkas has armored the much-awaited LX 600, i.e., Lexus‘ Land Cruiser, making it suitable for celebrities, businessmen, politicians, or other VIP personalities. According to Inkas, the LX 600 dominates its class with the unique combination of power, technology, and prestige. However, the LX is mainly known for its off-road prowess and excellent reliability. Regardless, Inkas definitely upgraded the whole package with a CEN 1063 Level BR6 armoring package, giving the LX 600 the means to fight similar versions of the G-Class.
The armored package can simultaneously withstand gunshots fired from 7.62mm assault rifles and explosions from two DM51 hand-grenades! Hopefully, you escape before the third one, though! Along with full capsule armoring, other standard features include engine bay armoring, passenger compartment perimeter protection, battery, and control module protection, reinforced suspension and door hinges, and run-flat devices for tire protection. Meanwhile, optional equipment includes a lightweight armoring package, siren/PA/intercom system, heavy-duty brake and wheels, emergency lights system, and fire suppression system.
Safe enough, right? It’s powerful, too, thanks to the new 3.5L V6 twin-turbo producing 409 HP and 479 lb-ft of torque and a 10-speed auto transferring the power to all four wheels. As a result, the LX 600 reaches 60 mph from a standstill within 6.9 seconds and clocks a top speed of 130 mph, though we guess the much heavier Inkas version will be slower.
Meanwhile, off-road capabilities include crawl control, multi-terrain select, active height control, and a Torsen limited-slip differential. Lexus’ off-road SUV can also tow up to 8,000 lbs.
Inside you’ll find an 8-inch digital instrument cluster and a 7-inch vehicle information display surrounded by black leather with black or brown open-pore wood trim. In addition, drivers get access to the new Lexus Interface with voice commands and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Moreover, customers can opt for a standard 5-seat layout, 7-seat layout, or an ultra-premium 4-seat VIP layout.
The new INKAS Armored Lexus LX 600 is already available worldwide through waterways or airways. According to Arthur Yurovitsky (VP, Marketing & Business Development), it will be priced well above the $200,000 mark.
