The Apocalypse Warlord is a true automotive behemoth that dwarfs the streets with its imposing presence and impressive power.
Florida-based Apocalypse Manufacturing has earned quite a name for its outrageous creations, and the brand new 6X6 1500 TRX is no exception. Named the Warlord, it features Apocalypse’s proprietary middle axle adding two powered 18-inch wheels. Furthermore, the extra weight is supported by a custom frame made of 0.25-inch thick steel. The company also gives the truck a durable style bar behind the cab while the rest of the body remains pretty much unchanged (aside from the rear wheel wells, of course).
At the front, there is the iconic RAM logo, LED headlights, bulging fenders, and a scooped hood. Also, the wheels are wrapped in six massive 37-inch mud-terrain tires as stock, but Apocalypse also offers the Warlord with 40-inch tires for an extra $2,200.
Under the hood, Apocalypse Warlord packs a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 found in the stock TRX producing 702 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque, but an eight-speed automatic transmission now sends power to all six wheels. The Hellcat-powered RAM is already one of the fastest pickup trucks ever built, sprinting from 0-60 mph in just 3.7 seconds and completing the quarter-mile in 12.3 seconds at 110 mph. It will be really interesting to see what effect the Warlord’s 6X6 layout will have on its overall performance, both on- and off-road.
Inside, things remain the same. Apocalypse Warlord gets the 12.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with all the latest features including, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and built-in navigation, while the multifunction steering wheel comes with paddle shifters. Apocalypse also lists several additional options, including thermal night vision for $5,200 and LED lighting underneath the truck for $1,000.
Of course, these extensive modifications call for a hefty price tag, so Apocalypse priced the Warlord at $250,000.
