Brabus 900 Rocket Edition

Brabus 900 Rocket Edition is a Monstrous 900 HP G-Class

Brabus is all set to launch one of its most ambitious projects to date, the Brabus 900 Rocket Edition, based on the Mercedes-AMG G63.

A standard G63 already packs one of the most powerful engines in an SUV: a massive 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 producing  577 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque. But those are nothing but rookie numbers for Brabus. The company has gone to drastic lengths to increase the displacement to 4.5 liters, while further modifications include larger three-inch downpipes and turbochargers.

The SUV’s ECU also gets its own set of upgrades to manage the new hardware, including a remapped injection and boost pressure control system to maximize performance. The result? The Brabus 900 Rocket Edition now produces a whopping 900 hp and 774 lb-ft of torque, enough to give most supercars a run for their money. In fact, it has a higher power output than the McLaren 720S and Lamborghini Aventador S, just to name a few.

The SUV’s massive power figures call in for brutal throttle response. And with a 0-60 sprint in just 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 174 mph, it’s no less than an SUV on steroids.

Brabus has also worked on the SUV’s exhaust system. The Brabus 900 Rocket Edition is now equipped with a stainless-steel high-performance exhaust system that actively controls the exhaust valves to enhance the V8’s roar.

The SUV’s otherworldly performance is further matched by its exterior enhancements. Like most Brabus projects, this über G-Class comes with some of the sickest design tweaks out there. The specially developed wide body kit features an aggressive front spoiler with side flaps and a rear diffuser, while front and rear fender flares house a set of custom 24-inch Monoblock Z hi-tech forged wheels. Furthermore, the large roof wing further establishes the similarity between the 2.5 ton SUV and a sports car.

The interior also gets its fair share of upgrades. Black leather with crest-shaped quilting covers the seats and footwells. The steering wheel and dash are also available in a two-tone black and red finish with thin red stripes with red accents all around.

Brabus offers the 900 Rocket Edition in two color options, Stealth Gray and Signature Black, and will manufacture only 25 of these brutes, each priced at a whopping $573,132.
