Brabus strikes again! The German tuner worked its magic on the AMG GLE 63S, creating the 900 Rocket Edition, capable of reaching 205 mph!
At this point, you already know what’s coming when you spot a Mercedes slapped with a Brabus badge, and it never disappoints. Much to our liking, the aftermarket tuning firm has been extra active these days with several recent successful creations, such as the Brabus Rocket 900 based on the G-Wagen, the Brabus 800, and a Brabus x Fostla collaboration on the GT 63 S. Common traits amongst all of them include mind-bending power, a luxurious cabin, and incredible 0-60 mph times.
The tale repeats with the Rocket 900 edition of the AMG GLE 63S 4MATIC+. As you might’ve already guessed, the Rocket 900 develops a whopping 900 hp and 921 lb-ft of torque from a 4.5-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. These insane figures are a result of some component changes and a lot of fine-tuning behind-the-scenes. Revisions under the hood include a Brabus PowerXtra ECU, increased engine displacement from 4.0-liters to 4.5-liters, larger turbochargers, and a quad-pipe stainless steel exhaust with carbon fiber tips. Such an impressive setup is good enough to reach 60 mph from a standstill in only 3.2 secs and a top speed of 205 mph, effectively making it the world’s quickest street-legal SUV!
Brabus bestowed the GLE 63S with the Rocket treatment with bespoke carbon-fiber bodywork and red accents. An aggressive-looking bumper with a carbon-fiber splitter and large vents on either side dominates the front fascia. The grille also received the carbon treatment and is accentuated by red accents and the customary Brabus and Rocket logos.
On the sides, the 900 Rocket GLE 63S Coupe features squared-off wheel arches highlighting the 24″ Brabus Monoblock’ Platinum Edition’ Z 10-spoke forged carbon wheels with hints of red. Furthermore, the SUV comes with an AIRMATIC air suspension that lowers the ride height by 25 mm to give it an even sportier stance. Additionally, the rear end is flanked by the Rocket 900 badging and an aggressive diffuser contrasting with the quad tailpipes. Also worth mentioning, the all-important engine bay has yet another carbon fiber cover with the Brabus and Rocket emblems.
The cabin is covered in a sea of red on the dashboard, switches, steering wheel, door panels, carpets, and seats (it may even be a bit much if you ask me). The front and rear seats, as well as door trims, are upholstered in a unique diamond-patterned grey leather and red top-stitching. Of course, the Brabus 900 Rocket Edition packs all the bells and whistles of the stock car, featuring the MBUX infotainment system and instrument cluster, ventilated seats, sunroof, and the entire suite of driver assistance systems.
No need to mention, the 900 Rocket Edition is reserved for the elite, with only a few numbers put up for sale. As customary, each creation will be eligible for the 3 year/62,000-mile tuning warranty by Brabus. The company hasn’t disclosed pricing details yet, but looking at the trend, one of these bad boys could set you back at least $200,000.
