WEY Cyber Tank 300

WEY Cyber Tank 300 is a Slick-Looking Chinese SUV

WEY unveiled its Cyber Tank 300 concept at the 2021 Shanghai Auto Show, and its slick SUV design is making me a fangirl already.

Chinese carmaker WEY’s new Cyber Tank 300 SUV concept is a stellar SUV, and we can’t stop gushing about how rad it looks! Set to debut at the 2021 Shanghai Auto Show, the Tank is a remodeled version of the Chinese-market only Bronco.

The Cyber Tank 300 is equipped with a wide body kit and features a roof-mounted wing and a solar panel on the roof. The original Tank’s design was meant to a boxy SUV that would add to the thrill of off-roading in China. It had the look of an SUV you would get if you combined the Jeep Wrangler and the new Ford Bronco. Meanwhile, the Cyber Tank is more of a Bronco meets Mercedes G-Wagen. It is like a slick-looking city SUV having a unique set of wheels with off-roading tires but doesn’t seem comfortable on a trail.

Body-colored wheel arches replace the plastic fender flares. The redesigned eye-catching bumper for both the front and the rear adds to its dashing look. Moreover, there are enlarged air intakes and some design elements on the roof, along with a hood scope, something we aren’t yet sure is functional.

One of the coolest aspects of the Cyber Tank 300 is its lights. The headlights have a minimalistic glow to them, although they are almost similar to those in the standard Tank 300. Although flashy, they don’t take the limelight from the big bumper and unique Y-shaped fog lights. The taillights have an additional neon light effect which adds to the futuristic appeal of the car.

Take a look inside, and you’d not be wrong to guess that you’re in a Mercedes-Benz. There’s a predominantly white color running through it all apart from the aluminum accents, piano black components, and chrome yellow accents (not sure if you’ll particularly like this one, though).

As dope as it might be, the Cyber Tank 300 concept has not yet been confirmed for production. So, neither there’s any word on the price nor the mechanical changes it will bear from its predecessor. So, with Tank 300 being priced at ¥175,800 RMB (almost $27,000), the modifications would surely raise the cost for Cyber Tank 300 if it reaches the production line.
