Tesla Roadster will be Available in Special Color Options

Musk promised that the Tesla Roadster will feature more interesting colors since the current ones aren’t particularly exciting.

Despite all the technological advances and elegant designs, Tesla cars lack exciting color schemes. Seriously, go look at Tesla’s website. However, this is bound to change for the better with the new Roadster.

Tesla Roadster was the first car from the company, dating back to 2008, but it used a Lotus chassis instead of Tesla’s own. With its launch, the EV maker wanted to break negative stereotypes around electric cars. And we have to admit that it kinda did just that.

However, the company decided to stop production and discontinued the model in 2011. Initially, it came in various paint options, including “Very Orange,” “Twilight Blue Metallic,” “Thunder Grey,” “Obsidian Black Metallic,” “Jet Black,” and “Racing Green.” And according to Musk, the new Roadster will follow similar paint options too.

We saw the next-gen Roadster prototype back in 2017, and it grabbed everyone’s attention with its innovative design. That being said, as of now, Tesla had only revealed two paint options yet – Red and Grey.

There is a lot of hype around Tesla’s upcoming all-electric hypercar as extraordinary performance figures are expected. Elon already promised a sub-2 second 0-60mph time and a top speed of over 250 mph. Adding these special paint options will certainly prove beneficial, as the Roadster will have to compete with the likes of Lamborghini, McLaren, and Ferrari, already offering cars with attractive and unique paint options.

The next-gen Tesla Roadster is expected to debut sometime next year.

And we just can’t wait!
