Can’t afford a Tesla Cybertruck? Here comes the ATV version!
Tesla originally came up with the Cyberquad as a prop used to demonstrate the boot capacity of the Cybertruck during the reveal. Nonetheless, the Cyberquad created a lot of buzz on its own too mostly because its design, as described by Elon Musk himself, is literally based on the Cybertruck itself.
Meanwhile, the uncertainty around the Cyberquad being released or not lead to people building DIY Cyberquad prototypes. The credit for one of the best builds belongs to a two-person team from Rich Rebuilds, Rich Beniot, and Steven Salowsky, who spent nearly 300 hours to create their own Cyberquad.
Clocking a top speed of 102.5 mph, Rich Rebuilds’ ATV already proved that it’s a touch above the rest.

To kick-start the project, the duo started by purchasing a 2008 Yamaha Raptor 700 ATV along with spare parts from Zero Motorcycles bikes.
As stated by the duo, they initially planned to make an all-electric ATV. However, the pair changed their mind and decided that the DIY project should actually look like the Tesla Cyberquad. A sort of a replica, if you like. The result, as they say, is more than satisfying.
Apart from the insane top speed, the Cyberquad replica is also insanely quick with a 0-60mph time of only 3.9 seconds! Sure, that’s slower than Tesla’s most powerful models, but it’s relatively fast for an ATV.
Musk confirmed that the original Cyberquad would eventually be made available but only as an optional add-on with the upcoming Cybertruck. So if you planned to console yourself of not being able to afford a Cybertruck by buying a Cyberquad instead, you might need to build your own.
Tesla’s futuristic truck will have a charging port for the Cyberquad, which means you can charge it on the go. Additionally, expect a few changes in Tesla’s original release as compared to this DIY version.
As of now, the prospect of owning an all-electric ATV sounds fun, and Rich Rebuilds’ model sure proves to be worthy of the hype that it created.
