You’ve been waiting for it, and it’s finally here. A car that you can actually heat up or cool down remotely with the ConnectedDrive app, so the temperature is always set to perfection when you get in!
BMW has introduced the upcoming 4 series and 5 series models with a cool new feature, the ConnectedDrive app. You can start the engine either by using the BMW key fob or even remotely with a smartphone app. This feature also allows you to control seat cooling, seat heating, and steering wheel heating, depending on the equipment level of the car.
Models equipped with these features will be manufactured by July and August 2020. Also, some of the existing models can be upgraded via an over-the-air software upgrade with the new feature.
Series like the 4 Series Coupe range, 3 Series Sedan range, 530i, 520i, Z4 Roadster, M550i, and M5 Competition will be availing the feature from July 2020.

Furthermore, the X5 xDrive50i, X5M Competition, X5 xDrive40i, X6 xDrive40i, X6M Competition, and X6 M50i will be manufactured in August 2020.
Existing models that are already available in the market are eligible for the upgrade of the new feature from the BMW ConnectedDrive app Store. Those include the 330i, 320i, M340i, 740Li, 740i, Z4 sDrive20i, 840i, Z4 sDrive30i, and Z4 M40i.
If your car is not on the list yet, don’t worry, BMW aims to introduce the new feature in even more models by the end of this year.
