The modified Aventador SVJ, called the “Cabrera,” does not do any justice to its original, but it’s hardly surprising for a product from Mansory.
Mansory is infamous for its remodifications of popular supercars and hypercars. The next in the line of misfortunes is an Aventador SVJ, which Mansory also thought wasn’t stylized enough.
The Mansory Cabrera is named after a famous Spanish breed of fighting bulls, just like Lamborghini does with its supercars. The Cabrera is a rather controversial take on a classic Lamborghini — the front and rear ends are completely new, and there is a different set of headlights.
The body of the Cabrera is revolting — brash and bold, it was inspired by the stance of a “fighting bull in attacking posture.” There’s carbon fiber everywhere, right from the fenders to the massive wing, though it doesn’t do much to boost the visual appeal. Mansory says the carbon fiber is good for aerodynamics, especially parts like the new double diffuser.
Add a power boost to these upgrades, and you’ll understand why the tuner is insistent on branding the Cabrera as aggressive as the name suggests. By meddling with the naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12, Mansory extracted 799 hp and 575 lb-ft of torque. As a result, the tuner claims that the creation can race 0-62 mph in exactly 2.6 seconds. The top speed of the Cabrera is 221 mph — a bit faster than the Aventador’s 217 mph.
Mansory has also worked on the acoustics of the Cabrera of the tuned car; the four-pipe exhaust system not only gives a “powerful sound” but also a “visually impressive treatment.”
The color Mansory used to paint the Cabrera is called “Vento Verde,” and the tuner has been quite lavish with the shade. The Cabrera takes its styling cues from its predecessor regarding the interior. Retouches include a lot of blue splashes and elements in the seats, roof, and other areas. The dashboard also gets the blue treatment along with carrying the new name of the model.
Thankfully, the Cabrera will be limited to only three models worldwide. Price and other details will be updated on their website soon.
