Lunaz Bentley S3 Continental Flying Spur

Lunaz Develops a Gorgeous Bentley S3 All-Electric Restomod

The Lunaz S3 Continental Flying Spur is a gorgeous all-electric restomod with modern EV internals and classic Bentley design.

Lunaz has been making moves in the electric vehicle industry, primarily towards the restoration of classic vehicles and giving them a new zero-emission all-electric drivetrain. After the classic Rolls Royce Phantom V, Lunaz has now modified the 1961 Bentley S3 Continental Flying Spur.

The S3 Continental Flying Spur was an iconic Bentley vehicle that came with a Rolls Royce/Bentley 6.2L L-series V8 engine under the hood. That engine is not present in Lunaz’s EV restomod, but the exterior designed by the famous coachbuilder Mulliner Park Ward has mostly been left unchanged. Hence, the vehicle has the retro looks of the 1960s and advanced electric technology of the 2020s. The only notable exterior change is the two-tone bespoke green paint job requested by the customer.

Although Lunaz has not confirmed details about the powertrain, it should be the same one used in the Rolls Royce Phantom V. The Phantom V features dual electric motors that combine for 375 HP and 516 lb-ft of torque. With an 80-kWh battery pack built into the body, the Phantom V will go 250-miles on a charge. Moreover, it needs only 5 seconds to reach 60mph.

To deal with the performance boost, Lunaz has changed the suspension and brakes on the Bentley S3. Moreover, it has replaced the manual steering system with an electronically-assisted unit. The interior also features modern technology, such as an air conditioning system and an infotainment cluster capable of mirroring phone and sat-nav features. However, the leather and walnut upholstery has remained the same as part of the company’s exhaustive restoration work.

Lunaz already delivered the first model, with the company opening up orders for the S1, S2, and S3 generation Continental Flying Spur, available in both two- and four-door options. Prices for the Lunaz Bentley restomod start from £350,000, and production is strictly exclusive and limited.
