Jaguar will re-launch six matched pairs of the legendary E-types to celebrate the iconic sports car’s 60th anniversary in 2021: the E-type 60 Collection.
The legendary E-Type is undoubtedly the most famous supercar to come from Great Britain. From the start of its journey in 1961, it’s been revered for its advanced design and engineering.
To celebrate the E-Type’s 60th anniversary, Jaguar will release 6 coupes and six roadsters, that will exclusively be sold as pairs, meaning that only six lucky customers will be able to get their hands on this true one-of-a-kind memorial pack.
“The Jaguar E-type is a genuine icon, as sensational today as the moment it was exposed in 1961. It’s a testament to the advanced design and engineering that people still enjoy and admire passionately almost 60 years on,” said Dan Pink, the director of Jaguar Classic.
Jaguar will refresh the 9600 HP and 77 RW models for the celebration. Julian Thomson, the design director at Jaguar, gave several exclusive finishing touches to both models. The interior also got a new look and materials.
Moreover, the models come with the classic 3.8-liter straight-six engine, which is powerful enough to propel both cars up to 150mph.
“The E-type 60 Collection is a lasting compliment for E-type admirers honoring the car’s heritage and the achievements of the team that created it. Many from them have their children working for Jaguar Classic today, expertly maintaining, restoring, and future-proofing enjoyment for generations to come.”
