Recently, Ford collaborated with the gaming community to design the ultimate sports car. The result is a stunning futuristic supercar, called the Team Fordzilla P1.
Before you start saving, though, the P1 won’t move towards production. Instead, it is a track-based hypercar that will only exist in video games.
To create the Team Fordzilla P1, Ford asked the gaming community to vote on how they imagine the ultimate supercar of the future. The American manufacturer even gave the opportunity of designing this project to various gamers around the world. Besides, the community helped in choosing interior and exterior features of the car, including seating arrangements, the infotainment system, and powertrain.
Meanwhile, Blue Oval engineers took these suggestions and produced digital renderings, and came up with two final designs that were revealed at the 2020 GamesCom. The design created by Arturo Ariño, one of Ford’s exterior designers, captured 83.8 percent of the votes.
The winning design features a low front end with embedded LED lights, a backlit Ford emblem, a transparent rooftop is transparent, and an exposed back end with half-covered rear wheels. The P1 also has a shape-shifting panel that adjusts to the wheelbase of the vehicle, depending on the type of circuit.
Unfortunately, no pictures of the interior are available yet, and Ford didn’t publish information on the engine either.
In regards to the engine, the P1 sounds like an EcoBoost V6 engine, probably borrowed from the legendary Ford GT. However, the lack of exhaust pipes seems to point to an all-electric powertrain. Or, maybe both?
It’s only a video game car after all…
Good content….as I observed your writing skills develop day by day and also very informative.
Good news for the kids. They will get a brand new fun car.
Thanks Stuti.
