Shelby American has revealed that it would start producing 800+ HP Signature Editions of the already impressive 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 and that only 100 would be built!
Undoubtedly, the 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 is one of the finest cars ever built with its 760 HP power output. However, since there’s no such thing as “too much power,” 760 HP still seemed not enough for many car enthusiasts. To fix this pressing problem, Shelby decided to collaborate with Ford and properly customize the 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 models and to release a “Signature Edition” producing well over 800 HP. You know, something really worthy of the legendary tuner’s name.
Some of the Signature Edition’s features include a smaller supercharger pulley, an uprated heat exchanger, a bigger intercooler as well as custom front and rear sway bars and coil springs. To handle the additional power output, stiffer axle shafts are provided along with performance 20″ wheels fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires (Cup 2 tires are optional).
Visual mods include a widebody kit, a carbon fiber hood with Shelby branded hood locks, leather seats, and a rear-seat delete option.
Of course, all those mods don’t come cheap, and the signature package alone will set you back a mere $29,995.
The guys at Car and Driver were lucky enough to get their hands on one and put it to the test hard. The Shelby GT500 Signature Edition did a decent 0-60 mph in 3.6 seconds and an 11.4 second/132 mph quarter-mile time. Not bad at all for a street-legal muscle car.
If that’s still not enough to convince you that you need one already, Shelby is also giving away a one night stay in a prestigious Las Vegas casino, an invitation to a party hosted by the tuning masters themselves, a Signature Shelby bag as well as a framed registry certificate to the first 15 buyers.
The stock 2020 Ford Mustang GT500 model starts at $101,490. To that, add the $29,995 for the SE package, and you’ll be buying yourself one of the most impressive pieces of authentic American muscle ever made!
It’s also worth mentioning that each sale will benefit the Carroll Shelby Foundation for children and grants membership to the Team Shelby club.
Good information…..
keep it up.
