Ferrari Purosangue Is The Most Expensive Performance SUV At $398,350

Oh, and the Purosangue price does not even include the gas-guzzler tax that the EPA has yet to determine based on how it classifies the vehicle.

Have too much money and want a super-fast SUV that not many other people will have? You can definitely book a Ferrari Purosangue for just a smidge under $400k! The prancing horse’s first-ever SUV will debut at a nerve-wracking price of $398,350 in the USA. It will also include the destination charges, which are again quite a staggering amount — $5,000. It’s alright; we are gobsmacked too.

The best part about this price is the chances of the number still increasing. Hear us out — if the EPA classifies the Purosangue as an SUV, the price will remain as is; however, if the Purosangue is classified as a station wagon, much like the Lamborghini Urus, it will cost even more than $400k.

And don’t expect to save on running costs — the Purosangue won’t be fuel efficient. It’s the only performance SUV powered by a naturally-aspirated 6.5-liter V12 producing 715 hp and 528 lb-ft of torque. Now, sure, you might not care about fuel efficiency in a $400k vehicle, but the consumption will certainly add the gas-guzzler tax on top of the price of the vehicle. For example, if it falls between 14.5 and 15.4 mpg, the fee will be $4,500, but if it’s going to be 13.5 to 14.4, then the tax will be $5,400.

In a not-very-surprising turn of events, the Ferrari Purosangue is now the most expensive performance SUV in the market — much more expensive than the Lamborghini Urus or Aston Martin DBX. The Purosangue is also costlier than a Rolls-Royce Cullinan!

Yet, the SUV has received great attention, says Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna. He also says that the beast has been an instant success and that the orders have been filling “four times quicker” than they expected.

Not surprising, considering how special the Purosangue is compared to its peers. And since the orders are filling up quickly, hurry up if you want your Purosangue!
