Johann Abt Signature Edition Audi RS6 Packs 800 HP, 0-62 in 2.9 Seconds

For its 125th anniversary, ABT launched the Johann6Abt Signature Edition Audi RS6, a bespoke variant of the already fascinating wagon.

Born in 1896 as a small workshop, ABT eventually became the biggest aftermarket and performance parts specialist in the automotive sector, especially for VW and Audi cars.

The Johann Abt Signature Edition Audi RS6 will only be limited to 64 pieces worldwide, each with a backlit emblem stating the model number. In addition, each car will be equipped with a unique “time capsule,” each containing a small piece of the original anvil used in the original shop—pretty neat, right?

For its Signature Edition, ABT developed bespoke components like air vents, rear skirts, 22-inch wheels, a newly designed front fascia, and matte black exhaust tips. Furthermore, the body also received some tweaks, with unique carbon accents called Signature Carbon Red with a red metallic thread.

The Johann ABT Signature Edition RS6‘s cabin is just as striking as the exterior. The sport seats inside are all hand-sewn, door panels are wrapped in leather, and the door sills marked ‘Since 1896’ tell about the company’s attention to detail. Each unit even comes with an ABT halo projecting a signature watermark.

Worth mentioning, ABT didn’t just improve the design of the RS6. Indeed, in-house turbochargers, an additional oil cooling system, and larger intercoolers have made it much faster. As a result, the engine now delivers a whopping 800 hp, 200 more than stock, and 738 lb-ft of torque. As a result, the Abt Signature Edition RS6 can now go from 0 to 62mph in just 2.91 seconds—that’s 0.69 seconds quicker!

In addition, the new ABT app also made its debut in the Johann Abt Signature Edition. It displays live information such as the ‘current increased performance,’ additional torque, and a range of other engine data. The app also features three driving modes—ECO, POWER, and RACE. These modes control the intensity of the performance upgrade and can adapt to a lower fuel-consuming mode.
