Modellista makes the Lexus LS far more interesting from an enthusiast’s standpoint, courtesy of a subtle yet attractive body kit.
Lexus refreshed the LS earlier this year with upgrades to the in-car tech and minor design tweaks. Although subtle, the changes keep the sedan fresh for the years to come.
However, since the upgrades still keep the LS firmly in the executive territory, Japanese tuner Modellista has taken on itself to do something about it. The brand is famous for sharp and aggressive body kits, and this one is no exception.
The addition of a front spoiler, side skirts, and rear skirts are part of the LS kit. Since the body kit contains ample chrome finishing, Modellista offers three dark-color schemes, Sonic Quartz, Black, and Graphite Black. It also comes with two forged-aluminum wheel options, both 21-inches. The first option has wheel spoke alignment in different directions, and the second option boasts a conventional design.
Unfortunately, the twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 churning out 415 HP and 443 lb-ft (600 Nm) of torque stays the same. Of course, Modellista probably thought that 415 HP was already more than enough.
The Lexus LS has been competing with the BMW 7 Series and Mercedes Benz S-Class for a very long time. With Mercedes releasing the new S-class, Lexus has retaliated with a facelifted LS 500 in the battle to dominate the full-size luxury sedan segment.
Modellista’s LS kit offers an option for owners to give their car a more aggressive exterior styling. The LS starts at $75,450, but the tuner still hasn’t disclosed the kit’s price.
