Ford F-150 Shelby Centennial Edition

2023 Ford F-150 Shelby Centennial Edition Is a 6-Figure 800HP Limited-Edition Truck

The Centennial F-150 carries an unreasonable amount of power you surely don’t need but will still appreciate.

To celebrate Carol Shelby’s 100th birthday, Shelby America reveals its new truck based on the Ford F-150 Lariat 4×4 SuperCrew. Called the Carroll Shelby Centennial Edition, this F-150 is no ordinary truck, indeed. While the base model already has a beefy 5.0-liter V8 producing a very decent 400 hp, Shelby satisfies its craving for power and doubles that, bringing it to 800 hp!

The Centennial F-150 celebrates Carol Shelby’s birthday, who was, surprisingly, passionate about going off the beaten path. Shelby America’s current president, Gary Patterson, considers Carrol Shelby the most interesting man in the world while he was alive and wants to highlight the legend’s love for off-roading. Hence, the Centennial Edition F-150 was born, and safe to say, Shelby nailed it with this one.

Styling-wise, Shelby has done some radical work to the truck. The Centennial Edition gets a double intake “RAM AIR” hood with vents, body-painted flares, a revised front bumper, a “Shelby” grille, a painted rear bumper cladding, redesigned front fenders, side steps, a tonneau cover, signature decals, and Centennial badging all around. To add even more girth, the manufacturer gave the truck 22-inch Shelby alloy wheels wrapped in BFG all-terrain KO2 35/12.50R22 rubbers. As for the cabin, the Centennial gets some extra special badging, carbon fiber trims, red ambient lighting, billet racing pedals, and tinted windows.

That said, the truck’s highlight is definitely the 800hp tuned V8 when fitted with the optional Shelby-engineered supercharger system, including Ford’s racing blue supercharger, a performance air intake with a high flow filter, a new intake manifold, an oversized carbon fiber air intake tube, an aluminum heat exchanger, and a billet throttle body. Of course, if you choose not to go with the supercharger and retain the 400 hp naturally aspirated setup, you would save $9,000 — but do you really want that?

But no matter whether you opt for the supercharged version or not, Shelby still gives you plenty of new performance parts, comprising front and rear brake upgrades, a Borla performance exhaust, black dual exhaust tips, rear tractions bars, and upgraded FOX suspensions — all covered by Shelby’s own three-year or 36,000 miles warranty.

Interestingly, there will be only 100 units available for the US market, with prices starting from $129,450 for the non-supercharged model and $138,495 for the 800 hp supercharged one — the latter is a no-brainer, really. Props to Shelby for making such an incredible supertruck, which, we can all agree, is a proper way to celebrate its founder’s 100th birthday.
