Toyota equips the GR Supra A91-CF Edition with a carbon-fiber body kit from the factory, improving the looks and the overall aerodynamics of the sports car.
Every time a Toyota Supra is in the news, we know it’s going to be something special; case in point, the latest special-edition Supra A91, which Toyota claims is the “most exclusive Mark V Supra to date.” The GR Supra A91-CF Edition is, indeed, the most gorgeous Supra we’ve seen so far, and its limited manufacturing run of only 600 units in North America makes it even more remarkable.
As you might have guessed by now, the “CF” in the name stands for Carbon Fiber, which Toyota used for the sleek aero kit. The sports car gets a carbon-fiber splitter and larger canards up front and carbon fiber side rockers that complement those 19-inch split five-spoke wheels. A keen observer would notice red Brembo brake calipers providing contrast to the matte-black wheels. At the back, a carbon-fiber duckbill spoiler and lower canards round off the CF bits of the special-edition Supra A91.
If you think the A91-CF Edition is just an appearance package, you’d be wrong. The aero kit is functional and serves to “increase downforce and stability during both everyday drives and hot laps around the local track,” according to Toyota. Buyers of this special-edition Supra can choose between matte-gray Phantom, Absolute Zero White, and Nitro Yellow exterior colors.
TheGR Supra A91-CF Edition cabin greets you with black leather and Alcantara faux suede upholstery with contrast red stitching. It also comes standard with a leather-trimmed steering wheel, heated and 14-way power-adjustable sport seats, sports pedals, and an elegant carbon-fiber trim throughout the interior.
Furthermore, the entire 2022 Supra lineup will benefit from additional tweaks. For example, heated seats are now standard on 3.0-grade models, and a new red interior color option is offered on the 3.0 Premium trim. Meanwhile, models with the “premium audio” package get full-screen Apple CarPlay support.
Toyota provides every 2022 GR Supra buyer with a complimentary one-year membership to the National Auto Sport Association (NASA). It includes participation in a free High-Performance Driving Event, which is a one-day training guided by professionals.
Toyota still hasn’t disclosed prices for the Supra A91-CF Edition and other 2022 Supra models, although we can expect a complete price list when the models reach dealerships this fall. So look out for future updates on the subject.
