After building amazing supercars for almost 60 years, Lamborghini ventures into the superyacht category with the help of Tecnomar.
Tecnomar, an Italian yacht maker brand of The Italian Sea Group, presented the first “Technomar For Lamborghini 63″, an ultra-expensive day cruiser developed in collaboration with the Sant’Agata Bolognese-based supercar manufacturer, honoring its founder Ferruccio Lamborghini in the process. Founded in 1963, it’s not surprising that the number 63 is an integral part of the luxurious yacht. Indeed, there will be a total of only 63 limited-edition ever made, with each unit measuring 63 feet long and able to reach a top speed of 63 knots.
“It is a profoundly emotional moment; The Italian Sea Group Team has realized a unique yacht with incredible performances, a true jewel of the sea,” said the first recipient of the superyacht after delivery.
Inspired by the Lamborghini Siàn FKP 37, the Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 measures 17 feet and 9 inches wide and weighs 52,911 pounds. Nonetheless, it is still the fastest boat in the Italian Sea Group’s and Tecnomar’s lineup. Powered by two MAN 24-liter V12 diesel engines, it delivers a mammoth 3,945 hp. Moreover, it has an approximate range of 210 nautical miles (389 km) at a cruising speed of 40 knots (47 mph), thanks to the 3,600-liter fuel tank.
However, the most exciting aspect of the Tecnomar superyacht is that it features elements from different Lamborghini cars reminding us of its rich history. The overall design is inspired by the Lamborghini Siàn FKP 37 and features Huracan Evo seats, an Aventador steering wheel, and throttle levers borrowed from the Urus.
“We are proud to see the essence of Lamborghini DNA that today sets out to sail the sea with the same attitude of our super sports cars that race across the asphalt,” said strategy Director of Automobili Lamborghini Stefano Rutigliano. “This yacht is proof that the shared values and perfect synergy of the two teams are the keys for executing excellent projects.”
We have seen numerous collaborations between yacht makers and car manufacturers lately, but this alliance seems to be one of the most fruitful. However, and without much surprise, the Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 costs a small fortune—€3.1 million to be exact.
Oh, and you might also want to shell out an additional €3.1 million for a Siàn FKP 37 for the perfect match.
