Segway Ninebot Launches More Powerful GoKart Pro for Adults

Ninebot, a global leader in short-distance transportation solutions and robotic service industries, recently launched one of the company’s fastest consumer products yet, the Ninebot Gokart PRO, powered by Segway.

Performance-wise, the Gokart PRO can reach a top speed of 23mph, which is nearly 65 percent more than its predecessor, the Ninebot Gokart. However, a higher speed also means higher power consumption, so the GoKart Pro as a relatively short battery range at 15.5 miles on a full charge.

With that being said, a GoKart is not usually intended to be used to go grocery shopping or for a ride around town like an electric bike would be. In that case, 15.5 miles is a lot longer than most GoKart Race tracks.

The Segway-Ninebot team toiled for nearly two years on testing the Gokart PRO. During this process, they also tested this model for more than 20,000 miles on a racetrack, resulting in overall durability and improved steering response.

Just like its predecessor, the Ninebot Gokart PRO has been powered by the motor of a Ninebot self-balancing transporter and a 432Wh. The power unit has also been improved to magnify its performance, providing a higher top speed and more extended range.

Ninebot’s GoKart Pro will also be equipped with an Immersive Engine Sounds Simulator, basically high power speakers playing a single-cylinder, two-cylinder, V8, or V12 engine sound soundtrack. If like me, you find this a bit cheesy, you’ll be happy to hear that the Simulator can be turned off, and the Bluetooth speakers can be used to play your favorite playlist.

In terms of protection, the Gokart Pro will feature a three-layered TPE impact protection to keep the driver safe in case of impact.

The GoKart Pro also features a Drifting Assistant System, allowing drivers to pre-program their drifting experience based on their preferences and style or even based on the site condition. This is made possible by the two hub motors connected individually to each rear tire. The Drift Assist System will control the power of the two motors to provide different power outputs to each of the rear tires as they drift, which eventually helps the driver control the drift dynamics.

I don’t know about you, but I sure wouldn’t mind giving this little thing a spin!
