Rivian’s R1T and R1S electric truck and SUV will be competitively priced.
Rivian already unveiled its upcoming electric pickup truck R1T and electric SUV R1S in 2019. Now, the manufacturer finally released the prices and detailed specifications.
The R1T Launch Edition will come with a $75,000 price tag while the R1S Launch Edition will set you back $77,500. Both EVs will come with a 135-kWh battery pack and more than 300 miles of EPA range.

The Launch Edition features the premium adventure package, including 1000-lumen flashlights under the doors, an all-glass roof, and 4G Wi-Fi capability. Furthermore, customers can opt for a special green color and 20-inch all-terrain or 22-inch sport tires.
Meanwhile, the Adventure Edition will feature a powered tonneau cover, a reinforced underbody shield, and an on-board air compressor. A Gear Guard remote monitoring system is also included to provide added functionality. With heated vegan leather seats, a high-end 360-degree audio system with a detachable Bluetooth speaker, and a natural dark-colored finish, the interior promises to be quite luxurious.
Rivian has also introduced a more affordable “Explore” package, which, of course, brings some downgrades. It consists of a matte-black interior finish and a manual tonneau cover. The R1T Explore Edition will start around $67,500, and $70,000 for the R1S Explore Edition.
A common feature of all Rivian models is the Drive+; a hands-off driver-assist feature that can change lanes, steer automatically, and adjust speed. However, drivers will still need to keep their eyes on the road at all times.
If everything goes as planned, deliveries of the R1T and R1S Launch Edition are expected to start in June and August 2021, respectively, while the Adventure editions will arrive later in January 2022.
Rivian will also release two other variants. The first one will come with a smaller 105-kWh battery pack, providing 250+ miles of EPA range. The other version will feature a bigger battery pack, good enough for 400+ miles of EPA range, exclusive for the R1T. These packages will arrive in January 2022.
