Peugeot 3008 Refreshed with Aggressive Fascia and Plug-In Hybrid Version

Peugeot’s popular 3008 Crossover is getting a complete makeover.

Apart from coming with a better design and different body colors, the new 3008 is equipped with better safety features. The 2020 model also comes with two hybrid powertrain options you can choose from. The HYBRID4 300 e-EAT8 4-wheel-drive variant is fitted with a 197 HP Pure Tech engine aided by two electric motors producing 108 HP and 110 HP, respectively. On the other hand, the HYBRID 225 e-EATD 2-wheel-drive powertrain offers a 177 HP gasoline-powered engine paired with a 108 HP electric motor, for a total power output of 222 horses.

Charging time may vary and really depends on the type of charger you are using. It will take about 1h 45 min with a 7.4 kW Wall Box or 4 hours with a 16A socket and a 3.7 kW charger. A standard 8A socket will take about 7 hours with the same charger.

If you are not much of a hybrid fan, Peugeot also offers two internal combustion units. One model comes with a 1.2 liter 3-cylinder engine producing 128 HP while the other has a bigger 1.6 liter 4 cylinder engine making 177 HP and an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

And if you prefer diesel cars, a 1.5 liter 4-cylinder diesel variant producing 128 HP is also available.

And as far as the aesthetics are concerned, the new 3008 comes with a fully redesigned front end. The 2017 Car Of The Year winner now features a new frameless grille, shiny black side scoops, painted tread plate, integrated fog lights, full LED taillights, and a 10-inch high definition touch screen.

Meanwhile, the interior features a new 10-inch central infotainment system along with wireless smartphone charging, an optional 515 watt FOCAL sound system, mirror screen compatibility with Apple Car Play, and Android Auto. It also has a series of seven elegant piano keys for the radio, air conditioning, sat-nav, vehicle settings, and calling.

The Peugeot 3008 also comes in a wide variety of colors, including Celebes Blue, Vertigo Blue, Pearl White, Artense Grey, Platinum Grey, Perla Nera Black, and Ultimate Red. The Black Pack variant really steals the show as it darkens the front grille, Peugeot monograms, tread plate, spoiler trim, door bottoms, and black mist wheels.

Safety features include Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Position Assist, Automatic Emergency Braking, extended recognition of traffic signs and, Adaptive Cruise Control.

The ICE models also come with driving modes such as Normal, Sport, and Eco-mode. The hybrid twins offer Electric, Hybrid, and Sports mode.

The updated Peugeot will be available in the European Domestic Market by the end of this year.
