Maserati announced comprehensive upgrades for 2022, introducing three new trims – GT, Modena, and Trofeo – for the Ghibli, Quattroporte, and Levante.
The Entry-Level GT
The new base trim for all three Maserati models will be called “GT” from now on. The Ghibli and Levante GT models feature a mild-hybrid turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 325 hp and 332lb-ft of torque and ride on 18-inch alloy wheels. On the other hand, the Quattroporte GT comes with a 350 hp twin-turbo V6 powerplant and exclusive 19-inch wheels. Visual upgrades include chrome bumper trim inserts across the range. At the same time, the interior gets “leather comfort seats” with Dark Mirror, Radica, and Black Piano trim for the Ghibli, Quattroporte, and Levante, respectively.
The Sporty Modena
The Modena trim is for those who desire their Maserati to be sporty and fun to drive. The Ghibli Modena and Levante Modena share the Quattroporte GT’s 350 hp V6 engine, while the Quattroporte Modena has a 430 hp version of the same V6 mill. The latter powerplant can also be specified with the first two cars by choosing the Modena S variants, including the Nerissimo pack and red brake calipers, Black Piano details, and 20-inch alloy rims. Inside, the Levante and Quattroporte feature a Black Piano Trim, while the Ghibli has a Dark Mirror interior.
The Top-Tier Trofeo
The Trofeo trim is the overall range-topper, both in terms of features and performance. The Trident Trofeo range is powered by a 580 hp twin-turbo V8 engine with 538lb-ft of max torque. Exterior features include 21-inch alloy wheels with red brake calipers and a carbon-fiber trim package. Furthermore, top-tier Pieno Fiore leather sports seats round out trim-specific features.
New Identity
In addition to new trims, the refreshed Maserati lineup carries a new Trident emblem on the hood and C-pillars, as well as revised font lettering at the back. Trim-specific badging can also be found above Maserati’s famous triple side air ducts.
