Finnish Man Blows Up a Tesla After Receiving $23K Invoice

The Finnish Tesla Model S owner received a $23K repair bill after having a few error codes on his EV, so he decided to literally blow up the car.

Grab your popcorn because you’re in for another treat! This time, a Tesla owner from the Arctic Circle in Finland decided it was better to blow up his Model S rather than settle the repair bills!

Tesla, the electric mobility company that altered the course of history in the automotive space, also constantly made its presence felt for various controversies across the world’s media houses. The automaker’s fort is currently under siege by the federal transport authorities and the National Highway Safety Board for hampering safety by enabling gaming on the center screen while on the move. Citing several distractions and unnecessary interventions to the driver, the company pledged to remove the feature for all its offerings via a software update pretty soon.

Finnish Man Blows Up a Tesla

While the hillbilly melodrama carried on in the US, an agitated Tesla owner in Finland decided the fate of his possession after a dealership failed to offer a concrete solution to his problems. For context, Tuomas Katainen drove the Model S comfortably for 932 miles before error codes crept up during the commute, forcing him to two the vehicle to the service center. After keeping it on hold for a month without any real fix, the service personnel slapped the owner with a bill of $23,000 (€20,000) to replace the entire battery pack!

Tuomas took back his vehicle from the dealership for obvious reasons and decided to blow it up (quite literally) after having received the shock. Later, the owner entrusted the services of fellow Finnish YouTube powerhouse, Pommijätkät (or bomb dudes) to destroy his Model S to pieces.

Set in the picturesque location of Jaala, Finland, the Model S arrived in a tow truck and was laden with 30kgs of dynamites. Each bomb was positioned strategically outside and inside the vehicle for maximum destruction. Moreover, the crew mounted the car on a platform facing a Rockwall to prevent any wreckage from interfering with other cycles in nature.

Preparations went on without a hitch, although there was still an element of the puzzle missing, which was air-dropped by a helicopter. With the dummy Elon Musk in the drivers’ seat, the owner pulled the trigger on the detonator and relished the controlled pyrotechnics on display!

Moral of the story: Leave the Finns alone (including Kimi) because nothing comes close to Sisu!
