Sadly, no Scorpioneoro will reach US soil.
Fiat’s performance division Abarth recently announced the latest special edition of the immensely popular Fiat 500, dubbed the Abarth 595 Scorpioneoro. The Scorpioneoro is built to pay homage to the 1979 Autobianchi A112 Abarth limited edition “Targa Oro,” with only 150 units built.
The hot hatch features some aggressive design elements unique to the Abarth brand, as well as a limited production of just 2,000 units. 200 will be sold in Japan and none in the States.
The stylish-looking 595 Scorpioneoro has some exclusive paintwork with gold accents, including pinstripe work, wheels, and a checkered flag-inspired roof design. It also gets some massive chromed dual exhaust pipes playing the distinctive 595 growl – music to the ears!
The interior has also been made exclusively for the Scorpioneoro. The bucket seats have embroidered headrests and camouflaged upholstery. The all-matte black dashboard features a top-of-the-line 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with the usual Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. And even better, it’s fitted with a Beats audio system, specially tuned for this edition.
Otherwise, the Scorpioneoro resembles the car it is based on, the 595 Turismo, and features the 1.4-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder, pumping out 165 horsepower. The Scorpioneoro is already open for preorder in Europe and Japan, with a price tag starting at 3,680,000 Yen or $35,555 for the 5-speed manual transmission and 3,790,000 Yen or $36,617 for the 5-speed automatic transmission.
