Alpine showcased its new A521 F1 car for the upcoming season, and it looks stunning.
Renault has rebranded its complete F1 lineup to Alpine, and its cars have shed their black and gold color in favor of a new red, blue, and white livery. The new finish on the Alpine A521 depicts French and Great Britain’s national colors, which are also Alpine’s iconic racing hues.
“It is a true joy to see the powerful, vibrant Alpine name on a Formula 1 car. New colors, new managing team, ambitious plans: it’s a new beginning, building on a 40-year history,” said Renault Group’s CEO Luca De Meo.
Two-time world champion Fernando Alonso will drive the all-new Alpine A521 after a break of more than two years. He will be accompanied by Esteban Ocon, who managed to secure a podium finish, coming in second place in the 2020 Sakhir Grand Prix.

Recently, Alonso fractured his jaw in a bicycle road accident, but he is recovering at a very good pace. In fact, he has already been declared fit to race this season’s pre-testing and opener at the Bahrain Grand Prix.
“I’m very excited to be back in Formula 1 and to be part of Alpine F1 Team’s next chapter in the sport. I’ve been working hard to prepare myself for racing back in Formula 1 and the target is to attack from the beginning,” stated Fernando Alonso.
Commenting on the Alpine A521, Alonso further said that driving a Formula 1 car after such a long time will be quite exciting. His team is strong, and he plans to work hard and achieve podium finishes for the team this season. According to Alonso, this season will be highly competitive, and everyone on the team is continuously working hard to achieve their target.
Alpine has refreshed its management with the inclusion of Laurent Rossi from Renault as the CEO. Furthermore, Davide Brivio, the ex-Moto GP team principal, was appointed the new Alpine F1 racing director.
