Hofele Adds Suicide Doors to the Mercedes G-Class

Hofele just released its “Ultimate HG,” a G-Class with Rolls-Royce-like suicide doors.

At first glance, you would be forgiven for thinking that the Ultimate HG is another creation of Mercedes’ Maybach brand. Builds like two-tone half-and-half paintwork paired with 23-inch multi-spoke turbine wheels are enough to leave a heavy Maybach vibe. However, you would be wrong.

Since its launch a few years ago, a plethora of aftermarket tuners have taken a jab at modifying the new Mercedes G-Class. Having said that, one would hardly find any other tuner’s offering as dialed up to eleven as Hofele’s Ultimate HG.

But the most notable feature of Hofele’s new creation is, by far, the suicide doors. In addition to making the ingress and egress activities a whole lot easier, suicide doors will surely turn a lot more heads as you get in your modified Geländewagen.

From every angle, Hofele Design’s Ultimate HG features an abundance of exquisite details, unmatched by other tuners’ models. Apart from the luxurious doors, the Ultimate HG now comes with a completely new and redesigned front fascia, including a new front grille, headlight surrounds, and front bumper. The tuner has also strapped a light bar on the roof for good measure.

When opening the rear door, a new realm of luxury awaits you after stepping on an electrically deployed sidestep. The interior features two individual VIP seats with various adjustments, all controlled through a touch screen on the bespoke center console. And even better, every imaginable surface is now wrapped in high-quality Nappa leather or Alcantara. Even the trunk is finished in piano black lacquer.

Thankfully, Hofele managed to retain G-wagon’s iconic exposed door hinges on the Ultimate HG. We can only hope its signature door opening, and closing sound has also made it through.

There are no details on how much the “limousine crossover” will cost, but we don’t expect the conversion to be even remotely cheap.
