2023 Hyundai Palisade Packs a More Striking Grille and Techier Cabin

The 2023 Palisade receives a Tucson-like grille and a hi-tech interior that’s more in line with Hyundai’s latest offerings.

The new Palisade looks bolder and more futuristic with a longer cascading grille with reflective elements, much like the Tucson and Santa Cruz. Furthermore, two vertically mounted split-DRLs and chrome bits surrounding the headlights add an extra oomph to the front end. Hyundai also added a healthy dose of silver accents on the front bumper, side skirts, and rear bumpers to enhance its overall appearance. Other exterior cues include 20-inch dual-tone alloys and a roof rack.

The 2023 Palisade retains the same engine as the predecessor — a naturally aspirated 3.8-liter V6 with a modest 291 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque. Meanwhile, an eight-speed automatic transmission sends the power to all four wheels using a 4WD system called the HTRAC. It works alongside the Tow mode, which calculates and optimizes gear ratios for longer depending on the load and torque demands when towing.

Inside the 2023 Palisade, Hyundai went for dual-tone beige and grey overalls contrasting with the dashboard and seats. But the biggest draw is the functional three-row seating, which also got some improvements. Notably, the Ergo driver’s seat provides better comfort on longer drives, the second-row features wing-out headrests and an armrest angle adjuster, and the third-row seats are now heated.

The conveniences and comfort don’t stop there, though. For instance, the seats and door trims are upholstered with soft and lush Nappa leather with perforations for heating and ventilation. The steering wheel also receives a heating function as standard — great for those cold winter mornings.

Going by the techy trends these days, the SUV unsurprisingly carries a full-digital display, split into the driver’s screen and the infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay support.

In addition, the Korean automaker also included a Hyundai Digital Key 2 Touch, allowing owners to unlock their vehicles using smartwatches, like the Apple Watch and Galaxy Watch. Other hi-tech features include a slew of USB-C ports, a digital rear-view mirror, and upgraded wireless charging from a measly 5 W to 15 W.

Last but not least, the Palisade comes with the ADAS safety suite, which comprises Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Centering Assist, and Blind Spot Monitoring.

As a bonus, the 2023 Palisade will get an additional XRT variant with a dark finish, extra rugged details, and black roof rails.

Pricing information isn’t still available, but we expect Hyundai to release it soon.
