GMC’s flagship SUV, Yukon Denali, has been updated to the Ultimate status, boasting class-leading luxury features, premium materials, and the Super Cruise system!
The Yukon Denali has been one of the most popular opulent offerings, giving tough competition to other stalwarts and even beating Cadillac at its own game! For the 2023 model, GMC addressed early rumors and decided to go all out after unveiling its crown jewel — the Yukon Denali Ultimate grade.
As the name suggests, the Ultimate is a museum of all things top-tier, starting with the exterior details. The basic silhouette remains largely similar to other grades, except for a bit of bling. For instance, the front fascia receives unique Galvano accents alongside Vader Chrome details on the intake grille and fog lights. More chrome details are present on the window sills, door panels, and the fresh new wheels. The 22-inch rims sport a 7-spoke pattern accentuated with dark, gold, and shiny hues that will surely turn heads.
Besides all the exterior enhancements, the real substance lies in the Yukon’s cabin. Inside, the dashboard wears an antique look with a special Paldao wood grain treatment with an etching of Mount Denali’s topography. Of course, being the Ultimate Denali, all three seating rows, door trims, dashboard, and steering wheel are upholstered in a luxurious Alpine Umber full-grain leather with an ‘Ultimate’ plaque situated on the front row. Furthermore, the driver and front-passenger seats have 16-way power adjustments and a special message feature.
The SUV is also packed with features to keep occupants entertained. At the heart of the dashboard lies a 10.2″ GMC infotainment suite with built-in Google software to access Maps, Music, YouTube, and other applications. It also supports the standard smartphone connectivity suite through Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Meanwhile, GMC also packed the Yukon with an immersive 18-speaker Bose Performance sound system with stainless steel grilles, including headrest units.
In terms of safety, the GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate is capable of Level 2 autonomous driving thanks to GM’s advanced Super Cruise tech available on 200,000 miles of pre-mapped stretches between the US and Canada.
The Yukon Denali Ultimate packs the same 6.2-L V8 engine that produces 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque and a 10-speed auto. Meanwhile, the standard active 4WD system features an electronic limited-slip differential and a two-way transfer case.
GMC is yet to announce pricing and roll-out information, but expect the price to go north of $70,000.
