Super Soco CUmini Electric Scooter Arrives with a 44-Mile Range

The Soco CUmini is a modern-looking electric scooter that can run 44-miles on electricity alone and achieve a top speed of 30 mph.

The future of mobility increasingly relies on electricity, with governments worldwide prohibiting the sales of combustion vehicles soon. As a result, many leading automakers accelerated their electrification plans recently.

However, there is a mobility sector that has already fully-embraced electricity, and that’s scooters. Urban electric motorcycles already sell almost as well as their gas counterparts and might soon even overtake them. The latest electric scooter that will try to usurp the market is the Super Soco CUmini, developed under a joint venture between Chinese electric mobility company Super Soco and Australian EV company Vmoto. The JV company has unveiled three new electric vehicles, including two motorcycles and a scooter called the CUmini. This article is dedicated to the CUmini electric scooter and its features.

The Super Soco CUmini, like its more powerful sibling CUx, has a rather minimalistic design. The scooter specifically caters to the younger generation of riders and urban commuters, allowing them to handle the scooter with ease and have a fun riding experience. The horizontal U-shaped LED headlights on the front apron, as well as a full-LED light strip extending across the entire width of the scooter’s head, give it a sporty appearance. Moreover, the CUmini is outfitted with LED lighting throughout, including a single-piece taillight and sleek rear turn indicators.

The scooter packs a host of other features, including a monochrome LCD rider’s display, 12-inch alloy wheels with disc brakes, remote controlled keyless start, split seats, and contrasting black components. The CUmini is available in four charming color schemes: red, black, grey, and white.

The Super Soco CUmini gets its power from a 0.96kWh battery pack that runs a 0.6kW (0.8hp) electric motor. The 48V 20Ah battery pack is swappable and weighs just 7.2kg. It takes approximately 7 hours to fully charge and offers around 44 miles (70.8kms) of driving range on a single charge. Furthermore, the scooter achieves a top speed of 48km/h, which isn’t much, but gas scooters don’t run faster, either.
