2025 Ram Heavy Duty: New Grille, Who Dis?

Bigger, meaner, and packed with tech, Ram’s 2025 Heavy Duty trucks are here to set a new standard.

Ram has given us a sneak peek at its 2025 Heavy Duty trucks, and they look meaner than ever. While the full reveal is still a little ways off, these teaser images show off some major exterior upgrades. The Ram 2500 and 3500 pickups still keep their bold, rugged look, but the front grille has been reworked with a more modern, aggressive design. There’s now a prominent notch at the bottom, and new split-style headlights add a sharper, sleeker touch.

Depending on the trim level, you’ll see slight variations in the headlights, with either black or body-colored trim separating the upper and lower sections. The taillights have also been redesigned, at least on the Ram 2500 Rebel, which was the only model shown from the rear in these images.

While Ram hasn’t given us the full scoop on what’s under the hood just yet, it did confirm that the Cummins diesel engine will still be available in the new lineup. The teaser images show Cummins badges on some of the trucks, hinting that Ram is sticking with its tried-and-true powertrain options for now. The 6.4-liter Hemi V-8 is also expected to remain an option for the 2025 models, delivering 410 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque. However, there’s a good chance we’ll see Ram’s new Hurricane I-6 engines make an appearance in the HD lineup as well. The standard version of the Hurricane I-6 offers 420 horsepower and 469 pound-feet of torque, while the high-output version cranks out a massive 540 horsepower.

Ram has been testing these trucks without any camouflage, and they felt it was time to give us an early look before blurry spy shots started popping up online. We still don’t have all the details, but it’s clear that Ram is making some significant updates to the exterior and potentially the powertrain. The refreshed design is sure to turn heads, and there’s likely even more to come once Ram reveals the full lineup later this year.

For now, Ram is keeping quiet about the interior updates, but if the 2025 Ram 1500 is any indication, we can expect some major tech upgrades. The 1500 saw a standard 12-inch touchscreen and an optional 14.5-inch display, and it’s likely that similar upgrades will make their way into the HD trucks. Plus, there’s talk of Ram adding more advanced safety features, like adaptive cruise control and hands-free driving systems, which would put the 2500 and 3500 ahead of competitors from Ford and GM in terms of tech.

The official reveal for the 2025 Ram HD trucks is expected in early 2025, and we’ll likely get more information about the powertrains, tech features, and pricing closer to that date. For now, it’s safe to say that the 2025 Ram HD lineup is shaping up to be an exciting update with more power, more tech, and a tougher look than ever.
