Tesla’s Latest Software Update Brings Autopilot To New Heights

One of the many positive features of Tesla is that this automaker is continuously searching for new ways to improve the quality and safety of their vehicles. They eagerly take the opinions of the customers and fans into account and continue to upgrade their system by adding requested features, making it even more enjoyable to drive their cars.

Tesla’s latest update v10.2 (2020.24.6.9) is simply mind-blowing. It has made autopilot even more accessible and efficient. But if you are someone who is not a great fan of this particular technology, then we have some unfortunate news for you.

Autopilot, no matter the manufacturer, creates a sharp division in automobile enthusiasts. Some are in love with it, while others just plain hate it.

Tesla updated its stop sign features and traffic lights. When this update was introduced a few months back, the drivers regularly reported facing a specific problem. The problem was that the car automatically stopped at a traffic signal or a stop sign even if the light was green. The vehicle seemed to stop to see if it could perceive any obstruction ahead. The drivers had to override the autopilot every time to get the car going again.

Nonetheless, with the recent update, this problem has apparently been solved by Tesla. Yay! No need to override the autopilot anymore!

Apart from this, there are other improvements included with the update as well. The new update integrates improved camera models, which allows owners to have a more comprehensive view behind the vehicle. The driver can also use the cabin cameras to take pictures or record short videos after an accident. Also, the update includes improved audio system functions and door-lock features. Owners can now keep their cars unlocked at home when the driver is away. Not sure why you would want to do that, but apparently, customers were asking for it.

What are your thoughts on this new Tesla update? Cop or drop?
