Volkswagen ID.3 Pro with New 145 bhp Motor Drops to £28,670 in the UK

The less powerful but more affordable VW ID.3 finally hits the UK!

The ID.3 Pro variant, Volkswagen’s cheaper and less powerful alternative producing only 143 hp, will start at £28,670, £1,320 cheaper than the 201 hp Pro Performance model. Nonetheless, the Pro variant still comes equipped with a variety of trim level options.

For instance, the 143 bhp Pro model comes with a 58kWh battery pack and features 100kW DC charging capability. According to data provided by WLTP, this variant comes with a range of 258-263 miles and takes about 35 minutes to reach an 80% charge.

Furthermore, the ID.3 Life trim drops in with its own set of unique perks, including an upgraded infotainment system and a host of other comfort and driver assistance features.

On the other hand, the more expensive Pro-equipped £32,400 ID.3 Business blends both performance and elegance. It comes with state of the art matrix LED lights, animated LED tail lights, rear privacy glass, interior ambient lighting, keyless entry, rear-view camera, and more advanced features.

Volkswagen ID.3 Pro

Of course, the Pro ID.3 is relatively slower than its Pro Performance cousins. Indeed, the Pro variant can only reach 60mph from a standstill in 9.6-seconds, while the quicker ID.3 Pro Performance hits the same mark in only 7.6 seconds.

The German automaker further plans to launch an even cheaper alternative with the same 145 bhp motor and a 45 kWh battery. Only this time, the range will drop to 205 miles and feature a smaller 50 kW charging capability.

The ID.3 has a simple yet elegant design featuring beautiful LED headlights, a black tailgate, and a honeycomb motif along with the front bumper. The recent versions even come with a unique black plastic panel under the windscreen making the hood appear bigger than it actually is.

With all its latest tech and features, the brand new ID.3 drops a bomb on the market, boosting VW’s sales all across Europe and UK.
