Daymak, a light electric vehicle manufacturer from Toronto, launches the ‘Avvenire’ series, including six unique LEVs covering a wide range of micromobility conveyance.
Daymak founder Aldo Baiocchi says, “At Daymak, our goal is to make outstanding clean vehicles that make a positive impact on the environment for today and future generations. We build our vehicles to give freedom of movement that is also a joy to ride.”
With a bold statement, Daymak has focused on developing sustainable and cutting-edge technology in developing its LEVs, particularly the extensive use of solar panels, increasing overall battery life and efficiency.
Baiocchi adds, “This will redefine what it means to travel using light electric vehicles. The technology we are designing will incorporate solar power to our fully enclosed vehicle line for an efficient, comfortable, and eco-friendly alternative to traditional carbon-emitting vehicles right at our doorstep.”
The Avvenire range includes an e-bike, a covered recumbent bike, an AWD e-scooter, and an off-road-focused explorer. These four vehicles, in particular, do not come as a surprise as Daymak has already ventured into these segments. The next two in line are, in fact, first-timers for the company: the Spiritus, a three-wheeled two-seat coupe, and the Skyrider, a single-seater personal eVTOL. Yes! A personal aircraft.
Terra
The Terra is a sleek on- and off-road e-bike featuring solar trickle charging, providing a 60-mile range on a single charge.
Foras
The Foras is a covered recumbent bike boasting a 120-mile range. It has extra features such as a GPS alarm, back up camera, etc.
Both the Terra and the Foras don’t require a license or registration to ride in Canada.
Tectus
The Tectus is a fully covered all-weather e-scooter with an all-wheel-drive powertrain setup. It features trickle charging, a backup camera, rear storage, and a range of 100 miles. Customers can further opt for autonomous driving features.
Aspero
The Aspero is a micro explorer vehicle featuring solar trickle charging, rear storage, a plow/trailer hitch, and fast charging capability.
Spiritus
The Spiritus is a three-wheeled two-seater coupe, and it’s also the only model in the series that can accommodate two people. It has a mind-blowing design and features optional auto-pilot, Wi-Fi, AC, solar trickle charging, and an infotainment system. It boasts a range of 248 miles and accelerates from 0-60 in just 1.8 seconds.
Skyrider
The most advanced vehicle in the line-up, the Skyrider is a one-person flying drone and will require a pilot license.
The Foras will be launched by September 2021, and the rest will follow with the complete launch of the series scheduled to be completed by 2025. All the vehicles will be produced in Canada and pre-ordered from the official website at just $100.
