The name GasGas came from a phrase that means “to gas it” or to accelerate. The company was first started in the year 1985. They began with manufacturing trial bikes in 1985 and moved on to endure and motocross bikes in 1989. They finally progress to adding quads in 2002. They are highly specialized in their areas on manufacturing and take pride in that. They produce their motorbikes in a factory in Catalonia, Spain.
Before the year 2007 GasGas made their enduro motorbikes specific colors to coordinate with the engine displacement of their motorbike. The yellow was used for the 125 and 200 cc bikes. The red was used for the 250, 400, and 450 cc bikes. The blue was used for the 300 and 500 cc motorbikes. From 2007 until 2009 they changed primarily to the color red. Since the year 2010 all of the standard models available are done in black with red and white accenting.
GasGas is still proudly manufacturing several different successful lines of motorbikes. They produce trial bikes, enduro bikes, and children’s bikes. Their trial bike collection is available in a 300 cc, 280 cc, 250 cc, and 125. They have the racing bike collection which is made up of a few different styles available in different engine sizes. The children’s collection consists of the Supermotard two, the Trial Two, Enduro Two, Supermotard One, Trial One, and the Enduro One.
