K1300R

The BMW K1300R was a naked motorcycle produced from 2008 to 2015. When launched, it replaced the K1200R as BMW's flagship urban motorcycle. BMW says the K1300R could produce 173 hp at 9,250 rpm and 140 N⋅m (100 lb⋅ft) torque at 8,250 rpm from its 78.9 cu in inline-four engine. If at any point you experience problems with your K1300R, grab a Mini BMW K1300R service manual to make sure you get the job done right.

British company Ricardo plc slightly modified the engine. It has an exhaust butterfly flap to boost torque and improve exhaust note. The K1300R offered the option of BMW's ESA-II electronic suspension adjustment. Instead of the usual BMW three-button configuration, the bike also has a conventional indicator switch.

The K1300R is considered a muscle bike, while its long wheelbase and low and canted mounted engine help transfer the engine's power to the road without accidental power wheelies. In tests performed by Bike Magazine in the UK, its 2.81 seconds 0–62 mph time made it the fastest accelerating naked motorcycle.

Throughout its production run, K1300R has never been offered for sale in the United States despite being offered in the smaller Canadian market. However, the wear and tear of riding can do any vehicle a mischief, make sure you have a BMW K1300R repair manual when you're tuning your Countryman for its big day.
