21070-1 Engine, remove F10 The figures in the illustration above refer to the items described in the following text. "Gearbox, removing" is included in the above operation number. Concerning relevant procedures, see Section 4 ( 43). Special tools: 9992754, 9992755, 9992756, 9996049, 9996052 1 Switch off at the main circuit breaker and empty the air tanks. Remove the gearbox. See Section 4 (43). 2 Remove the air cleaner and holder. Loosen the exhaust pressure governor hose and pipe from the cab arch bracket. 4 Remove the cab arch together with the bracket attached to the left frame member. 5 Remove the rear engine mounting bolts (three on each side). 6 Drain off the coolant (nipple on radiator as well as on the left rear side of the engine block). Special tools: 9996049 7 When fitted, remove the engine heater from the engine block. The figures in the illustration above refer to the items described in the following text. 8 Split the exhaust pipe at the joint behind the turbo. 9 Remove the accelerator control arm and disconnect the air pipe for the stopping device. 10 Split the fuel pipes at the unions beside the pump shelf. 11 Remove the hose from the oil filler pipe beside the frame member. 12 Pull out the oil dipstick and loosen the plastic sheath from the sump. 13 Loosen the charge air hose at the radiator and remove the hose and S-bend. 14 Disconnect the oil hoses from the steering servo pump. 15 Mark for later identification and then disconnect the electrical cables from the alternator. Pull the cables out of the metal clamp on the alternator belt tensioner. 16 Disconnect the expansion tank rubber hose from the pipe on the coolant pump. 17 Disconnect the lower coolant hose from the pipe leading to the coolant pump. 18 Remove the centre bolt from the front engine mounts. 19 Disconnect the radiator stay at the radiator.
