MOONEY AIRCRAFT CORPORATION M20R M20S ILLUSTRATED PARTS CATALOG INTRODUCTION This Illustrated Parts Catalog is designed to assist in the identification of standard replacement parts for the Mooney M20R series aircraft S/N 29-0001 thru 29-78A and M20s sen’es of aircraft SIN 30-0001 thru 30=TBA. This parts catalog should not be utilized for references pertaining to any other models of Mooney aircraft. The Introduction Section should be read carefully to become familiar with the catalog arrangement and the correct prooedures for ordering repair parts. A Gmup Assembly Index is included to help locate a particular system’s text and illustration. GROUP ASSEMBLY PARTS UsTINOs The body of the catalog lists all standard replaceable components in the aircraft. Each illustration is accompanied by an assembly breakdown in its adjacent text listing. Those parts not listed separately are items that lose their identity through being an integral part of assemblies which would be impractical to stock other than as complete assembles. TO LOCATE A PART 1. When Pad Number is KNOWN. Refer to the alpha-numerical index, locate the Pert No., note the FIGURE and INDEX NO. Tum to the figure number illustration or te~t page for desired infomtation. 2. When Part Number is NOT KNOWN. Refer to the GROUP ASSEMBLY INDU( in the Introduction Section of the manual. This index lists titles and page numbers of all gmup assembly iluustations in the catalog. Illustration INDW( NO.’s refer to 1NDU( NO.’s on the adjoining te~t pages (parts callouts). Find the area of aircraft desired, locate FIGURE NO. or PAGE NO. and tum to that illustration to locate the desired part. The PART NUMBER will be listed on the text page following the INDU( NO. shown. The following is a brief explanation of the columns and abbreviations in the parts listings: the FIGURE and INDW number that appears in the first leg-hand column of each text page, key the text to the illustration. The number to the leg of the dash Is the FIGURE NUMBER. The INDU( NUMBER provides cross reference fram the part numbers appearing on the text page to the is~metric view of the part on the accompanying Illusttation. When one figure depicts both LEFT and RIGHT hand assemblies, or parts, the leff- hand connguration is NORMALLY illustrated and the part numbers of both LEFT HAND and RIGHT HAND components are shown on the text page under the same INC)U( NO. Part numbers shown on the text page without INDU( NO.’s am normally altemate parts or assemblies for which all detail parts are illustrated and indexed. Encircled illustration index numbers, without leader lines, are used to designate the entire adjacent assembly shown as a unit. INDU( NUMBERS should NOT be used in identifying parts for ordering purposes. The PART NUMBER column identifies the item by its assembly or detail part number. This is the part number to be used when ordering any repair parts. Mooney part numbers are used in preference to vendor numbers, where possible. Replacement part numbers may differ from pert number shown in this Illustrated Parts Catalog of component being replaced due to later part numbers being interchangeable in form, fa and function. The DESCRIPTION column lists each part on the text page of the Group Assembly Part List and is indented to Indicate assembly relationship. Each pert is indented one column to the right of its Next Higher Assembly (NHA). When the details of an assembly are shown on a different figure, the nomenclature of the assembly is followed by a notation to locate the detail parts. For example: FIOURE 3, 210000-501, Main Spar Assembly, (SEE FIG 5). The detail parts of the Main Spat Assembly will appear in FIGURE 5. The Main Spar Assembly will be referenced (REF) at the first entry in the UNITS/ASSY column on the text page of FIGURE 5 and will cross reference the relationshrp to the NDCT HIGHER ASSEMBLY (NHA) using the notation, (SEE FIG 3) in the DESCRIPTION column. Consequently, when an entry has an indented part description or ~g)?, its units per assembly column shows the number of items requi~ed to complete or attach one of the next higher assembly of which it is a component or an attaching part. The EFFECTIVI’TV column is bank wt~ere the part is applicable to ALL M20R 8 M20S series aircraft. A Roman Numeral entry in the effectvvty column indicates a special or limited use of that part. The EFFECTnVlflES will bi, shown after the text entries. When any special reference or explanation is determined to be necessary an Arabic Numerial is shown, at the far rigM of the EF~FECTIVITY column, to reference a NOTE printed on the last page of the text. HOW TO ORDER PARTS Place your order with any Mooney Service Center in your ama. Parts am available only thmugh these authorited Mooney facilities. All orders moehved at the factory that originate from other sou~pes will be referred to the appropriate facility for pmcessing. Always specify the PART NUMBER, DESCRlPTiON, QUANTiTY, and AIRCRAFT SERIAL NUMBER for all parts orders, Qive complete shipping addmss information, including ZIP CODE for all orders. When the method of shipment (freght, express, parcel post, air express, air freight, or air parcel post) is not specified, or when the nature of the shipment requints special handling, parts will be shipped by the means most suitable to the shipper. LIABILITIES Orders am double checked before leaving the Mooney shipping department, and a packing slip is enclosed in the shipment. Claims for enors or shortages must be made, to the Mooney Service Parts Department, within thme days after recerpt of orders.
