GENERAL INFORMATION SERVICE RULES 1. Use genu ine HONDA or HONDA· recommended parts and 'ubricants or their eq uivalents. Paris thai don't meet HONDA's desi gn specifications may cause damage to Ihe mot orcycle. 2. Use the special t ools designed for this product to avoid damage and incorrect assembly. 3. Use on ly met ric tools w hen serviCing the motorcycle. Metr ic bolts, nuts and s<:rews arQ not interchangeable with English fasteners. 4. Install new gaskets, 0·ring5. cotter pins, and lock plates when reassembling. 5. When t ighte ning baits or nuts. begin with the la rger diameter or i nner b olt first. Then tighten to the spec ifi ed torque di agonally ill i "eramari/al steps unless Ii partieul iff sequence i~ specified, 6.
