Gilera DNA Service Repair Motorbike Manuals
The Gilera DNA was available in 50cc, 125cc, and 180cc variants. It featured a continuously variable transmission (CVT) along with an electric start. The 50cc bike was limited to a top speed of 29 mph (47 km/h); although the 125cc is capable of 72 mph (116 km/h); whereas, the 180cc bike has a maximum speed of 88 mph (142 km/h). The 50cc engine was a 2-stroke, while the 125cc and 180cc models were 4-stroke, all were single cylinder. But before you work on your DNA, double check to see if you have a Gilera DNA workshop manual.
In 2005 Gilera launched the 'RST' model. Some of the new changes included a new color scheme and replacing the handlebars with a different design. However, this model was discontinued by Gilera in 2009.
Initially, introduced into the UK in July 2000, the Gilera 50cc DNA was a groundbreaking hybrid of a scooter and a motorbike. The DNA 50 featured larger front forks and body layout similar to a motorbike, still retaining automatic transmission and drive from a scooter. However, if you ever find yourself showing a DNA some TLC, make sure you have a Gilera DNA service manual to make sure the job gets done right.
