Aprilia Tuono Service Repair Motorbike Manuals
The Aprilia Tuono was a motorcycle manufactured by Aprilia. It was based on the Aprilia RSV Mille. Its successor, the Aprilia RSV1000R superbike shared its gearbox, engine, and frame. Such a finely tuned machine needs a bit of a check-up every now and again. So, before you go tinkering with your Tuono, make sure you got an Aprilia Tuono workshop manual.
In 2001, the Aprilia Tuono was unveiled under the name Tuono R Limited. It had the 127.3 hp engine from the RSV Mille R, a gold-colored frame, and was built out of carbon fiber, kevlar, and titanium. Specs included OZ forged alloy wheels, Brembo 4-pad brake calipers, Öhlins Racing suspension, and an Aprilia Racing exhaust system made out of titanium with matching EEPROM.
The RSV Tuono Factory was a high spec model based upon the Aprilia RSV Mille R. Compared to the standard RSV Tuono it has gold anodized Öhlins Racing front forks, fully adjustable Öhlins Racing rear mono-shock, radially mounted Brembo brake calipers, and a fully adjustable Öhlins Racing steering damper.
The second-generation Tuono, the Tuono 1000 R, is based upon the 2004 - 2009 Aprilia RSV1000R superbike. The Tuono 1000 R only provides control of preload and rebound damping. Like the first generation Tuono, the Tuono 1000 R also employs a steering damper as standard. The 2006 - 2010 Aprilia Tuono was offered in two versions: the Tuono 1000 R is the standard version. The Tuono 1000 R Factory is Aprilia's flagship naked bike.
For the 2012 model year, the Tuono was reworked entirely from the inside out along the lines of the RSV4 with a 65° V4. It was given Aprilia's APRC (Aprilia Performance Ride Control) package with 8-position traction control, 3 position launch control, and 3 position wheelie control. By the 2014 model year was rolled out, improvements to the new model year including a more comfortable saddle, larger 18.5 L fuel tank, and 3 position race ABS brakes were introduced.
The Tuono was updated again for the 2015 model year by the engine size being increased to 1,077 cc. Named the Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 RR, it came with three levels of adjustable Cornering ABS system developed in Aprilia's collaboration with Bosch.
The current rendition of the Aprilia Tuono is designed as a streetfighter with helpful assists such as ABS, AQS (Aprilia Quick Shift electronic System), multi-level traction control, wheelie control, launch control. Although these features are handy, when they break, their absence is felt. Moreover, when it comes to repairing them, having an Aprilia Tuono service manual to guide you can be a lifesaver.
