In normal situation you will see within a few seconds the following message: The reason why the display remains in the executing status is that the truck is equipped with the Engine auto stop function. When the Active test function is activated, the Engine STOP Relay is deactivated and the Power supply to ECM is blocked. To be able to erase error codes of Engine Control Module (ECM) a special procedure should be followed. Procedure: When on the truck, go to the Diagnostic Mode using the correct password. To clear the ECM memory, follow this procedure: 1. In Diagnostic Mode select ‘TEST’ (D. TEST). 2. Confirm the caution text. 3. Select ‘VCM’ 4. Go to D1,03 5. Select upper row “ ENG STOP RELAY” 6. Set “ENG STOP Relay” to “ON” a. You here a click b. ECM is receiving battery power 7. You now can follow the normal procedure to erase the ECM error codes. 8. Select ‘ECM’ (2. ECM). 9.
