IMPORTANT REPLACEMENT PARTS - DIRECTIONS FOR ORDERING 1. This Parts list contains illustrations and a list of replacement parts for the engine, together with the more usual accessories and optional extras. The list is completed for engines in current production and, when compiled, contains no obsolescent or obsolete parts. No amendments will be forwarded for this Parts List. 2. A specimen Order Form for replacement parts can be found on Page 75 and when ordering always quote ’ENGINE No., PART No., and ‘DESCRIPTION OF PART’. When ordering complete Optional Extras or Accessories always quote ENGINE DESIGNATION ST1, 2 or 3 and order by CODE LETTERS. NEVER order by illustration number. 3. The Engine No. can be found on the plate on the Fuel Pump Housing Door and stamped on the Flywheel Rim. The standard rotation of the engine is clockwise (CW) when looking at the flywheel end, but anti-clockwise (ACW) rotation are available. CW & ACW annotations relate to Engine rotation in all cases. 4. Main bearings and big end bearings can be supplied undersize, and pistons and piston rings can be supplied oversize. Piston rings are only supplied in complete sets and pistons are supplied complete with piston rings and gudgeon pin. 5. Undersize and oversize measurements are 0.010", 0.020", 0.030" and 0.040" and examples of ordering undersize and oversize parts are given below: - (a) Main Bearing..................................... 570-12970/020 (b) Piston Ring Set.................................. 570-12910/020 6. All parts included in an assembly are indented. When an individual item cannot be purchased by itself no part number is quoted. 7. The differences between Build 01 and other Builds are listed under ‘Variations from Build 01’ on Page 7.
