COMMON METRIC AND INCH HARDWARE
CONVERSIONS
Allowances have been made in punched and drilled holes to allow interchangeability
of metric and inch dimension hardware in fastening and mounting applications.
However, this interchangeability does not apply to tapped holes or using metric
dimension nuts on inch cap screws, studs and bolts. Likewise, inch dimension nuts
cannot be used on metric cap screws, studs or bolts.
The following is a listing of common sizes for substitution.
