1.1 Sanding
Avoid Areas That Have Been Sanded Through
– It is recommended, to sand the marked areas by hand, to avoid
“sanding through” the cataphoretic paint primer.
1.2 Seam Sealing
Sealing
– Apply sealant.
Fine Seam Sealing
– For fine seam sealing, the projection of the sealant must be
least 3 mm in diameter and a height of 0.5 mm must be en‐
sured.

Coarse Seam Sealing
– For coarse seam sealing, the projection of the sealant must
be a total 8 mm and a height of 2 mm must be ensured.
Smoothing the Seal
– The designated area must be smoothed after applying seal‐
ant.
Note
Make sure that the protected areas do not become uncovered
when smoothing the seam seal. Enough PVC layer must cover
the panel.
Spreading the Seal
– After applying the sealant in the designated area it must be
spread.
Note
When spreading the sealed seam pay attention that the protected
areas do not become uncovered and that enough PVC layer cov‐
ers the area.
Sealing Fold Areas
– The marked areas must be sealed after applying sealant to a
fold area.
Note
Make sure that the protected areas do not become uncovered
when spreading the seal seam. A thick enough layer of PVC must
cover the area, so that the fold area remains sealed.
